Storytelling isn’t just about communication,
it shapes what is seen, valued, and sustained.
About
I work with people who are trying to make something matter.
I’m a communications strategist, creative director, and producer working across sustainability, culture, and entrepreneurship. I help turn ideas, research, and lived experience into stories people can actually connect with, whether that means a film, a campaign, a conversation, or something less easy to define.
I’m especially interested in the stories behind the obvious one: the people doing the work, the places it comes from, and the things that don’t always fit neatly into a message. Most projects start with listening, asking questions, and spending enough time with something to understand what is really there.
I collaborate with organisations, communities, and individuals to make the invisible visible, and create lasting impact.
Rooted in Storytelling
With a background in Sustainable Entrepreneurship from the University of Groningen, I began exploring storytelling as a tool for visibility, identity, and long-term impact for sustainable entrepreneurs — creating a bridge between research and real-world application.
That work first brought me to the Caribbean twin islands of Trinidad and Tobago, where I collaborated with cocoa farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and creatives through a Digital Storytelling consultancy for a regional cluster initiative. Together, we developed a unique, multi-layered storytelling approach centered on the heritage and future of Trinitario cocoa, resulting in A Story of Trinitario exhibition, publications, training sessions, the award-winning short documentary Trinitario — On the Edge, and a co-authored chapter in De Gruyter Handbook of Sustainable Entrepreneurship Research.
Since then, my work has expanded across the Caribbean in collaboration with international organizations, working on projects related to cultural preservation, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship, and community empowerment, whilst integrating an ethical and authentic approach to storytelling to foster transparency and impactful communication.
From indigenous slow fashion and embroidery initiatives in Belize to conservation storytelling across multiple island nations, at the core is a simple belief:
To foster long-term impact through community-based storytelling.
